Your Artistic Identity

ArtyParti presents ‘Your Artistic Identity’ - an informal workshop-based event with creative professional development at its heart.

This event series is about developing your voice and your image as a creative practitioner. We’ll work together collaboratively to create material (in words and images) useful for articulating your practice. You’ll leave with a tighter focus on describing your artistic voice, and an original headshot.

Working with photographer Claire Louise, and her professional camera equipment, you’ll experience being the subject of a live photoshoot - you’ll pick up techniques for how to work with a photographer, and how to capture images that best represent yourself in your portfolios and online material. This will be especially useful for actors, dancers, musicians, models, performers, but also for creatives of any discipline.

Alongside the photoshoot, we’ll put pen to paper to find and hone your artistic voice - writing material useful for biographies, websites, artist statements, bid applications, etc.. In this first session, we’ll focus on considering the influences and focuses at the heart of your artistic identity, and how to articulate these as part of your story.
