ArtyParti Celebration 1 - Part 2.jpg

This is part 2 of our first "Celebration" event at the Arts Centre Washington - celebrating the work of glass artists in the North East.

Glass-focussed artist Kelsey Lynn Mayo shares about the upcoming opening of the Tuna and Mayo Studios in Newcastle, and her journey from the USA to Sunderland to study glass and establish her career.

Reflections on the heritage and legacy of the Pyrex factory, formerly based in Sunderland, with Posy Jowett, the ProjectCoordinator of the People’s Pyrex Exhibition, and a former worker of the Pyrex factory Pauline Waters.

Our live Celebration events are made possible thanks to funding from the Arts Council England & National Lottery Heritage Fund, through the Unlock strand of Sunderland Culture's Great Place scheme.
