“My music is a mixture of stories and experiences particularly from a feminine viewpoint talking about the different journeys in life and the ups and downs of mental health.
“I mostly have a soft-folk style of songwriting with similarities to artists Phoebe Bridgers and Gracie Abrams.”

Art - 'Sara Designs'
Sara is a recent graduate of The University of Sunderland, studying BA Illustration and Design. Sara has a love for all things art, including printmaking, painting, digital art, photography, animation, and other art forms.
Sara has spent the last few years gaining experience as a facilitator, running creative workshops for both children and adults.

Music - 'Sara Leilah'
Joining the We Make Culture - Young Musicians Project in 2018, Sara has been writing and performing her own music, slowly building up a repertoire of recorded and released songs. Her music is inspired by her own struggles with mental health, with sad but relatable lyrics to soft and melodic rhythms.

Sara is a singer/songwriter, and since 2018 has been writing songs with the help of We Make Culture - Young Musicians Project. “Alongside this, I have taught myself to play the piano, ukulele, and guitar.”
