About Laura Willis
"My time studying Media Production at the University of Sunderland ignited my passion for a creative career.”
Alongside her time at the University, Laura volunteered as a member of the speech team on their community radio station Spark, supporting shows in developing their theatre and political content.
Laura co-produced the award-winning show ‘The Passport’ - a weekly show which aimed to educate the British public on the cultures of different nationalities, as well as share their unique music.
“Over the past year, I've poured my heart into creating pieces that my closeted teenage self would have loved.
"I'm especially proud of my slowly growing collection of subtle pride flag pins, designed to help people express their identities safely.
“Seeing the love and support these pins have received has been incredibly moving, though it’s also a bittersweet reminder that subtlety is sometimes necessary for us to exist without risk."
